A sweet, little yarn shop located in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island that carries the supplies you need for hand knitting, crochet, and felting.

We are so passionate about yarn and fibre that we make it our business and our lives. Matching the right yarn to that special project is something that we do every day. We are as excited to see your successes as we are about our own!
We carry a variety of hand knitting yarns from Cascade, Juniper Moon Farm, Noro, Hand maiden, Fleece Artist, Riverside Yarns, Regia, Lamana, Sirdar, Rowan and so much more. We also carry notions, knitting needles and supplies to help you create that special project!
Mad About Ewe Fine Yarns has been in business for over 22 years. We have over 100 years of knitting experience on hand to help you with any knitting problem.
Emily has owned the store for over 15 years. She worked here for about 5 years before jumping into the deep end of the yarn.
Lynette has been working at Mad About Ewe for 22 years. Lynette is the store teacher and designer. You can see her work displayed around the store. Her patterns can be found at the store or on Ravelry.
Darlene is our fibre expert. She knits, crochets, spins, dyes, weaves and has never met a fibre she doesn't like! If you have questions she will usually have answer. Her fibre interests are broad reaching and continually explored!
Ray is our newest team member, joining us after years of teaching overseas. A life long knitter with skills aplenty, he has begun to design his own patterns.
